Shae & Khyl officially started their marriage with a wedding ceremony at St Joseph’s in Bulli on the Coast of NSW. Followed by the reception at Headlands Hotel Austinmer, the wedding venue truly encapsulates the essence of the Illawarra landscape, which looks out over the ocean where we witnessed one of the most beautiful skies at sunset I’ve ever seen!
Shae & Khyl’s Love Story
It was a love story that started from the good old swipe right on Tinder. They had their first date on the 27th of March 2014. Which then lead to their wedding date exactly 7 years later on the 27th of March 2021. What an absolutely beautiful couple they are. They have shared so much with each other and I was so lucky to be apart of their wedding day.
We started the day with Khyl in Wollongong, we knew from this point it was going to be a legendary day. With the jokes already flowing with the boys and Khyls mum giving him the biggest smooch on the cheek.
Getting Ready With the Bridesmaids
Working alongside Trav from Hidden Leaf Productions for the day was always going to be amazing. We headed over to where the absolutely stunning bride was getting ready with her girls. With Chelsea Taylor Hairstylist and Jade Elizabeth makeup artistry glamming up the girls for the amazing day ahead.
Gorgeous Rachel Rose Designer Dress & Sentimental Details
Trav and I worked together to get some beautiful detail shots of Shae’s Rachel Rose designer dress from Story Book Bridal. As soon as you look at this dress you will be in absolute awe of it.
I also just want to mention Shae’s something old for her wedding day. It brought a tear to my eye. It was a Jade brooch that has been passed down in the family from 1887!!! Her mum’s great-grandmother to her mum and now she herself has worn it as something old. (How super special is that!!)
Beautiful Ceremony at St. Joseph’s in Bulli
The time had come to witness Shae walk down the aisle to her man Khyl. St Joseph’s in Bulli NSW, was the perfect place for Khyl and Shae’s family and friends to gather to witness this beautiful marriage between the two of them. Khyl’s first look at Shae will definitely be one to bring a tear to your eye that’s for sure.
Off to Maddens Fall & Austinmer Beach for Wedding Party Portraits!
After a wonderful service and some congratulations from their family and friends, we hiked out to Maddens Falls to capture a gorgeous picturesque waterfall photograph with all their bridal party. Then of course headed to the rock frontage of Austinmer Beach where some fun was had with the bridal party. With the boys singing some backstreet boys and the ladies sharing a special moment with just the girls.
Unforgettable Reception at Headlands Hotel
Heading into the reception at Headlands Hotel was absolutely mind-blowing! Two hearts wild hearts CO had absolutely nailed the styling and the girls’ bridal bouquets!
Throughout the night, there were so many special moments shared. But I think my favorite was the speeches from everyone. There was so much thought and effort put into every speech! They were great! We went from tears in our eyes to dying of laughter that to me means it’s a good one.
